It's sad state of affairs to see things that used to work in older distro's that are now broken in newer ones. I created fresh, default Live-USB boot disks using the 64bit Cinnamon ISO's and here was my result: I'm breaking this out into a new thread to hopefully bring more attention to it and because my previous thread focused on the BIOS version hypothesis but now I know it's kernel/distro related. This is a followup to my thread looking into the suspend/resume problem.
